Australian Surfer – Crohn’s & Colitis Ambassador

Make the most of every minute, every hour and every day…count your blessings.

Brittani was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease when she was seven years old, and although her journey since has had some obstacles, Brittani has never given up on living her life to the fullest. Brittani grew up on the surf haven Tweed Coast of Australia and began surfing when she was twelve years old – and she has never looked back.

In 2011 Brittani became a National Ambassador for Crohn’s & Colitis Australia and has since shared her story at various charity events, luncheons, youth camps, and Parliament House.
It’s all about creating awareness by giving people a better understanding of how this disease can effect anyone, as well as inspiring those who may be going through difficult times.

Brittani travels all over the globe to compete in surfing events, all while spreading awareness of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Most recently Brittani represented Australia by competing in the 2016 ISA World Surfing Games in Costa Rica, and although she was unwell Brittani managed to make it through six days of surfing and still put on a great performance!

Whether you’d like to chat to Brittani about her surfing journey, her role as a National Ambassador for Crohn’s & Colitis Australia or to book surf coaching sessions – you can get in touch by sending her a message on the contact page.

You can also follow Brittani’s personal journey online via Facebook and Instagram.
She hopes to inspire you to follow your own heart and to create a life that you want, no matter what obstacles may pop up along the way.
