Australian Surfer – Crohn’s & Colitis Ambassador

Make the most of every minute, every hour and every day…count your blessings.

Brittani was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease when she was seven years old, and although her journey since has had some obstacles, Brittani has never given up on living her life to the fullest. Brittani grew up on the surf haven Tweed Coast of Australia and began surfing when she was twelve years old – and she has never looked back.

In 2011 Brittani became a National Ambassador for Crohn’s & Colitis Australia and has since shared her story at various charity events, luncheons, youth camps, and Parliament House. It’s all about giving people a better understanding of how this disease can effect anyone, as well as inspiring those going through difficult times to get out in the world and to enjoy every moment.

Brittani travels to compete in surfing competitions all over the globe, all the while spreading awareness of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Most recently Brittani has competed in the 2016 ISA World Surfing Games in Costa Rica, the 2016 Supergirl Pro in California and the 2016 Los Cabos Open for Surf in Mexico.

Whether you’d like to chat to Brittani about her surfing journey, her role as a National Ambassador for Crohn’s & Colitis Australia or to book surf coaching sessions – you can get in touch by sending her a message on the Contact page.

You can follow Brittani’s personal journey online (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). She hopes to inspire you to follow your own heart and to create a life that you want, no matter what obstacles may pop up along the way.
